PBT Display Unit
6-way 4-20mA
The PBT Display Unit provides a cost-effective way to read the 4-20mA outputs of
analogue plummer block temperature sensors (PBTS) as a value in degrees
centigrade.
Up to 6 PBTS devices can be connected to a PBT Display Unit by routing the 2-core
cable for each PBTS through the PBT Display Unit. The operator uses a springloaded toggle switch to select one PBTS channel at a time, and the display will show
the temperature of the currently selected PBTS.

The channel selecting switches has a spring return which ensures the PBTS is not connected to the display unit unless actuated manually.
In the resting position, the signal is routed directly to the 4-20mA input on the external controller.
Only one channel can be selected at a time. Selecting a channel will connect the signal to loop through the isolator before returning to the 4-20mA input on the controller.
The display unit converts the output signal from the isolator into a temperature reading.
